Serving at St. John

Opportunities to Serve at the Church

1 Corinthians 12:12-31 describes how the body of Christ is made up of different parts providing different functions. That’s how it is at St John Nottingham.

We are one body with a whole bunch of talented, useful parts: open arms that greet people, voices that sing in choirs, feet that lead little children, hands that pray for others, ears that control sound equipment during worship service and eyes that control lighting, and more.

What part are you? Here are just some opportunities to contribute your skills and talents around St John:

Prayer Ministry

"Then you will call on Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you." Jeremiah 29:12

Prayer is an important part of the Christian life. You re welcome to contact our Prayer Chain with any special request that you may have by calling Jane at 440.953.2936, or Joanne at 440.585.2312.

If you wish a prayer to be lifted during our worship service, please call the Church office.

What a blessing God gives to us to call upon Him in our every need!

The children’s ministry is always looking for more volunteers to help:

  • Teach Sunday School classes
  • Lead activities and groups of children during Vacation Bible School each summer
  • Plan and lead special children’s events (e.g., Easter Egg Hunt, Trunk or Treat, etc.)

To volunteer, contact Cindy Reeves.
